Holiday Pickup Schedule

Unless otherwise noted, service that falls on the holidays listed below will be completed the following day, and service for subsequent days in the same week will also be completed one day later. 2024 holidays are as follows:

Beginning January 1, 2023, garbage collection fees will increase to $115.15. An online payment option will be available soon. Bills are generated by Packer Township. If you receive a bill for garbage collection from another company, report it to the Township. Every dwelling, whether inhabited or vacant, shall be subject to and pay fees for garbage disposal.

Garbage service is billed quarterly. Bills are mailed on or about January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, October 1st and are due within 30 days and payable by check or money order. Call 570-427-8969 for billing inquiries or send a message.

Regular weekly pick up is Thursday. Use he County Waste/GFL cart with green lid for Recycling. See Recycling Flyer for information on recycling. Garbage should be placed at roadside by midnight Wednesday in containers provided by County Waste/GFL. Call 1-800-832-1332 for pick-up inquiries. Choose 1 for PA. then 1 for Mt. Top, then 3 for Residential Services. You may also call or email the Township for assistance.

Mattresses must be wrapped in plastic.
