Holiday Pickup Schedule

Beginning January 1, 2026, garbage collection fees will decrease to $96.00/quarter. Bills are generated by Packer Township. If you receive a bill for garbage collection from another company, report it to the Township. Every dwelling, whether inhabited or vacant, shall be subject to and pay fees for garbage disposal.

Garbage service is billed quarterly. Bills are mailed on or about January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, October 1st and are due within 30 days and payable by check or money order. Call 570-427-8969 for billing inquiries.

Regular weekly pick up is Tuesday. Service is provided by Anthracite Waste Services Garbage should be placed at roadside by midnight Monday in containers provided by Anthracite Waste Services. Garbage must be bagged before placing in carts for pick up to ensure that it all goes into the truck and does not make a mess.
